Green/Energy Conscious Design
Bob is well versed in all aspects of energy conscious design and construction. From simply creating a well sealed and insolated building envelope, to the design of a passive soloar home. He knows how to deliver a home that will minimize utility costs.
Sub-Contract and Design-Build Services
Bob will sub-contract to engineers, interior designers or contractors, allowing them to offer complete service package to their client. Bob enjoys working with contractors and respects their expertise and input during the design process. As a sub-contractor Bob allows the builder to offer a design build package to his clients, saving both time and money.
Services Appropriate to the Project
From simple design sketches, to a complete set of construction documents, Bob will furnish whatever plans and services that are appropriate for the job at hand.
Initial Consultation
The first meeting usually takes place at the client’s property, during which we discuss the nature and parameters of the project. Preliminary time lines and budgets may be considered at this time, with options and more specific information to come later. Subsequently, Bob will present a written proposal outlining the type and scope of architectural services to be rendered, budget, and time frame.
Generally, after the initial consultation, an overall fee is presented, with a schedule of payments based on milestones within the project. Costs are determined by a projection of the nature and time of the services required, plus outside expenses, if any.
